Job summary

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) to deliver evidence-based interventions across educational settings and healthcare sectors. The post supports children and young people with mild to moderate mental health needs and requires travel across localities.

Successful candidates will typically have completed the 1-year HEE Education Mental Health Practitioner course or the Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner pathway, and will

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children and young people, their families and others.
• Experience liaising with a wide variety of agencies and stakeholders.
• Experience of working with children and their families in healthcare and education settings.

Responsibilities

• Assess and deliver outcome-focused, evidence-based interventions in educational settings for children and young people.
• Work with families and educators to develop plans and outcomes for interventions.
• Support and empower children, young people and families to make informed choices about interventions.
• Operate from an inclusive values base, respecting equality and diversity.
