Job summary

Boots UK is recruiting for a Trainee Dispenser to join our store pharmacy team in the UK. You will support the pharmacist and healthcare staff, dispensing prescriptions and advising patients while you complete your Dispenser training (NVQ2).

You’ll learn in a real store environment with full training provided, and there is a clear pathway to develop into a Pharmacy Technician or leadership roles within the store.

Qualifications

• No previous experience is required; full training will be provided.
• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2) is essential.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Prescription dispensing whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines, including ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and collection of prescriptions.
• Work with other healthcare professionals in your store to assist in the management and delivery of pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support the safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new innovations in store and comply with operational processes.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions with reliable repeats and promote adherence.
