Job summary
Boots UK in the UK is seeking a Trainee Dispenser to join our in-store pharmacy team. You will support the pharmacist in dispensing prescriptions, advising patients, and ensuring safe, compliant service delivery while completing NVQ2 training.
No previous experience required; full training will be provided, and you will learn through hands-on practice within the store environment, progressing toward Pharmacy Technician or leadership opportunities.
Qualifications
- Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
- Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
- Experience in community pharmacy is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
- Dispense prescriptions while ensuring the safe supply of medicines.
- Work with healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services in-store.
- Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
- Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
- Keep up to date with new store technologies and processes.
- Support patients to manage their prescriptions and improve adherence.
