Job summary

Lift Schools in North London offers a school-based Computing Teacher Training Programme in partnership with Ark Teacher Training. You will train in classrooms while working toward a PGCE and QTS, supported by experienced mentors.

You will gain hands-on teaching practice, access two-week Summer School prep, personalised mentoring, and weekly targeted training, culminating in recognised PGCE & QTS qualifications.

Qualifications

• Degree: an undergraduate degree with a 2:2 classification or above (or equivalent) by the start of the programme.
• GCSEs: Grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE English & Mathematics (or equivalent).
• Status: Right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the training year.
• Teaching status: Must not currently hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Responsibilities

• Spend the majority of your time gaining practical classroom experience.
• Receive hands-on teaching practice with 1-on-1 mentoring.
• Participate in weekly training sessions and a nationwide trainee network.

Education

Bachelor’s degree with 2:2 or above

Degree in Computing or related field preferred

Strong A-Level in Computing (Grade C or above)
