Zusammenfassung

The Fca is recruiting a Trainee Claims Handler for its home insurance claims team on the edge of Bolton. No prior claims experience is needed; training and funded CII qualifications are provided. You’ll handle first-line home insurance claims, keep customers informed, and progress each case while learning the trade.

The role offers 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with no evenings or weekends. A full driving license is required and free on-site parking is available.

Qualifikationen

• GCSEs in English and Maths (grade C/4 or higher).
• Strong communication and people skills on the phone.
• Able to adapt to new systems and processes.

Aufgaben

• Taking home insurance claims when they first come in: escape of water, storm, accidental damage, theft
• Checking what the policy covers and gathering what's needed to move each claim on
• Booking and managing trades and suppliers who fix customer issues
• Keeping customers updated clearly and honestly until the claim is settled
• Spotting anything that doesn’t look right and referring it
• Customer service experience in contact centre, complaints, admin, retail or hospitality
• Calm and clear on the phone, even when the customer is upset
• Organised, accurate, and comfortable picking up new systems
