Job summary

Ormiston Families in Norwich is offering a 12-month, full-time Trainee Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner post starting January 2027. Salary is £25,147 per annum, 37.5 hours per week.

The role requires travel across Norfolk & Waveney and occasional training at Anna Freud, London, with training at UCL to gain a Diploma in Child Wellbeing Practice. The position is based at the Norwich Hub, with community delivery and safeguarding obligations.

• Able to study and write at postgraduate level.
• Flexible and willing to travel across Norfolk & Waveney and to London for training.

Responsibilities

• Assess and deliver outcome-focused, evidence-based interventions to children and young people under supervision.
• Attend and fulfil all training requirements, including practical, academic and practice-based assessments.
• Gain a UCL Postgraduate Diploma in Child Wellbeing Practice upon successful completion.
• Willingness to travel across Norfolk & Waveney and to London for training.
