Job summary

West Sussex Mind is recruiting four full-time trainee Children’s Wellbeing Practitioners to start January 2027. You’ll train on the job while earning a nationally recognised NHS qualification, delivering brief, evidence-based interventions to children and young people with mild to moderate mental health challenges.

We welcome recent graduates (2:2 or above) or those wishing to pivot into mental health. Roles are based across West Sussex, with travel to GP practices and university training at the

Qualifications

• Degree (2:2 or above) or equivalent experience with children.
• Interest in mental health and willingness to train for NHS qualification.
• Experience working with children or young people is valued.

Responsibilities

• Enrol in graduate/postgraduate diploma at University of Sussex, Falmer.
• Deliver brief, evidence-based interventions and guided self-help to children and young people during training.
