Butcombe Group is seeking a Trainee Chef to join its busy kitchens at picturesque pubs and inns across the UK. You will learn hands-on cooking, support the team in prep and service, and develop skills under experienced chefs while upholding high standards of hygiene and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the kitchen team in the preparation and delivery of high-quality, freshly cooked food
• Learning how to cook and present dishes in line with company standards and menu specifications
• Assisting with basic food preparation, including chopping, portioning, and organising ingredients
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety across all kitchen areas
• Supporting stock rotation, deliveries, and ensuring ingredients are stored correctly
• Working closely with experienced chefs to develop your skills and confidence in a professional kitchen
• Following all health & safety, food safety, and kitchen procedures at all times
• Bringing a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong team spirit to every shift
