Job summary

ACS Automotive Recruitment is recruiting a Trainee Business Development Manager in Basildon, Essex. The role offers a £25,000 basic salary with £35,000–£40,000 OTE in Year 1 and full-time permanent employment.

You will undertake structured training for 9–12 months before progressing toward a full Business Development position, with networking events and client visits to build relationships and skills from day one.

Qualifications

• Attitude and ambition to progress are valued over industry experience.
• Structured training for 9–12 months before progression.
• Experience in sales is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Support the team with sales, prospecting and business development activity.
• Assist with preparing, submitting and following up quotations.
• Communicate with customers professionally via telephone, email and face-to-face.
• Attend networking events alongside experienced team members.
• Attend client meetings and visits to develop relationship management understanding.
• Shadow experienced BD professionals to learn sales and networking techniques.
• Support day-to-day sales and marketing activity.
• Work toward progressing from Trainee to a full Business Development role.
