Job summary

Arriva Cymru Limited is seeking a Trainee Bus Driver at the Rhyl depot. No prior bus experience required; full training will be provided to obtain your PCV licence, with ongoing CPC training and professional development.

Pay rates start at £13.45 per hour during the initial training, rising to £13.45/hr post-training (rising to £15.80 after 12 months) on weekdays, £18.70 on Sundays (rising to £22.00 after 12 months), and £19.13/hr on Bank Holidays (rising to £22.50 after 12 months).

Qualifications

• Over 18 years old with a UK driving licence (no more than 6 penalty points) and ability to pass drug/alcohol tests.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Learn to drive buses and complete your PCV licence with Arriva Training School.
• Adhere to schedules, maintain safety and provide quality passenger service.
• Rotate shifts as part of planned 5-out-of-7 patterns with early mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

• Post‑training (Trainees): Monday to Saturday: £13.45/hr (rising to £15.80 after 12 months)
• Sunday: £18.70 (rising to £22.00 after 12 months)
• Bank Holidays: £19.13/hr (rising to £22.50 after 12 months)

Shift Patterns

Requirements
