Job summary

Arriva Cymru Limited in Bangor invites you to start a bus driving career at our Bangor depot. You’ll train through the Arriva Training School to obtain the CPC licence and gain hands-on driving experience behind a supportive team.

This trainee role offers full paid training, rotating shifts, progression into supervisor or specialist driving tracks, free staff travel for you and family, and extra incentives via the Mydrive app.

Job description

Trainee Bus Driver – £13.45 to £19.13 per hour

Start your bus driving career with Arriva at our Bangor depot. You’ll work with our experienced team and the Arriva Training School to obtain the necessary CPC licence so you can be behind the wheel in no time.

Pay Rates

• Trainee Drivers: £13.45 per hour (first 3 weeks)
• Post‑training (Trainees): Monday to Saturday: £13.45/hr (rising to £15.80 after 12 months)
• Sunday: £18.70 (rising to £22.00 after 12 months)
• Bank Holidays: £19.13/hr (rising to £22.50 after 12 months)

Shift Patterns

• 5 out of 7 rotating shift patterns planned 6–8 weeks in advance
• Mornings starting from 04:00, afternoons from 12:00 and evenings from 18:00 (rotational basis)
• Overtime available at request / availability
