Job summary

Medstrom Ltd in Castle Donington is seeking a dedicated Trainee Bench Engineer to join our service team. You will learn to repair and maintain medical products to defined standards, with progression through our training pathway and clear development milestones.

After initial training, you will perform detailed repairs within agreed delivery times, contributing to a high-quality service for our patients and customers while working 37.5 hours per week on a Monday to Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or electrical experience is desirable.
• Experience with fault finding and diagnostics is advantageous.
• Full driving licence is an advantage but not essential as site-based.
• Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
• Able to work on own initiative and follow procedures to meet deadlines.
• Basic IT skills including email and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain medical products in line with training competency.
• Complete product modifications as directed.
• Use company tools and equipment appropriately.
• Participate in product cleaning and testing to ensure fitness for purpose.
• Inspect products during repairs and document any damage.
• Maintain stock and spare parts inventory.
• Support colleagues using technical expertise.
• Keep a clean and tidy work environment.
