This position offers the chance to start as a Band 3 trainee. With successful completion of the apprenticeship, relevant training, and experience, there is potential to progress to a Band 4 Associate Practitioner role.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Trainee Associate Respiratory Practitioner posts based in the Respiratory Physiology Unit at Glenfield Hospital, Leicestershire.
If you are scientifically minded with appropriate qualifications and have experience working with the general public, this is an ideal chance to train and develop while completing a Level 4 Respiratory Apprenticeship.
These posts require individuals to be enthusiastic, motivated, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills, along with a keen eye for detail and the ability to accurately record and input information.
The trainee will be responsible for performing routine spirometry, pulmonary function tests, reversibility studies, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and sleep diagnostics. Administrative work and infection prevention within these clinical areas are also part of the role.
No previous experience is necessary, as full training will be provided. However, candidates should demonstrate an understanding of the role. Interested applicants are encouraged to visit the department.
