An exciting opportunity has arisen for Trainee Ass ociate Respiratory Practitioner posts based in the the Respiratory Physiology Unit at Glenfield Hospital in Leicestershire.
If you are scientifically minded with appropriate qualifications and have
experience of working with the general public this is an ideal opportunity for you to train and develop alongside completing a Level 4 Respiratory Apprenticeship .
These post s require individual s to be scientifically minded, enthusiastic, motivated and possess excellent communication and organis at ional skills as well as a keen eye for detail, and the ability to accurately record and input information.
The trainee p ractitioner will be responsible fo r performing routine spirometry, full pulmonary function tests, reversibility studies, ambula tor y blood pressure monitoring and sleep diagnostics . They will also be expected to undertake administrative work and infection prevention within the se clinical areas.
No previous experience is necessary as full training will be given, however, the successful candidate should demonstrate an understanding of the role . Therefore a ll interested candidates are strongly encouraged to visit the department .

Disclosure and Barring Service Check
Please note if you are successful in obtaining this position and the post involves regulated activity you will be required to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service check.
The Trust will pay for the check initially and the money will then be deducted from your salary over a three month period commencing on your first month's payment.
The current price of a check is £38 for an enhanced and £18 for a standard check.
