Trainee Health and Wellbeing Recovery Practitioner - HMP Highdown

Location: Sutton, Surrey

Salary: A£21,840 per annum

Contract: Full time, Fixed Term 12 months

The Forward Trust is a UK leading provider of drug and alcohol treatment services to offenders. We deliver treatment and recovery support - in prisons and in the community - which helps people move away from addiction and crime. These services provide a variety of support, including advice, counselling, group work, and intensive treatment. Over 20 years of pursuing this mission, we have successfully moved thousands of drug-dependent offenders away from a lifestyle revolving around crime and substance dependence.

We ask you to commit to a recognised qualification whilst completing your one-year traineeship, and in return, we will provide you with a comprehensive support package.

What you will be doing?

As part of the traineeship, you will be shadowing a member of the team and will receive guidance and support while working through the various aspects of the role in the assigned business unit. The team member you shadow will help ensure you receive the necessary training and development to become competent in the role. You will have regular reviews to ensure you stay on track to successfully complete the traineeship and undertake the compulsory therapy required. Part of your time will be spent gaining practical experience and part studying towards achieving the assigned qualification (subject to criteria).
