Job summary

Bradley Environmental Consultants is recruiting a Trainee Asbestos Surveyor in Livingston (Hybrid). The role offers a £27,000 annual salary with full training and progression toward BOHS P402/P403/P404.

You will support survey teams across diverse sites, gaining hands-on experience and delivering high-quality asbestos surveying services in line with current legislation. You’ll work closely with experienced professionals, learn air monitoring and reporting, and grow within a supportive,

Qualifications

• No previous asbestos experience required; full training provided.
• Willingness to work toward BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications.
• Interest in building compliance, health and safety or environmental services.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (paid for by the company).

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced surveyors with Management, Refurbishment and Demolition Asbestos Surveys in accordance with HSG264.
• Support asbestos reinspection surveys and audits.
• Learn asbestos air monitoring, four-stage clearance and analytical procedures in accordance with HSG248.
• Shadow supervision of licensed asbestos removal projects.
• Assist with producing accurate survey reports and technical documentation.
• Develop technical knowledge to provide professional advice to clients over time.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and professionalism.
• Represent Bradley Environmental Consultants on client sites.
