Job summary

Bradley Environmental Consultants is seeking a Trainee Asbestos Surveyor to join the technical team in Ossett. You’ll gain hands-on field experience delivering surveying services across the UK while working toward BOHS qualifications.

The role is hybrid, with training provided, and offers development opportunities within a growing nationwide consultancy, supported by a larger Vadella Group.

Qualifications

• No previous asbestos experience necessary – full training provided.
• Willingness to work towards BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications.
• Interest in building compliance, health and safety or environmental services.
• Desire to learn HSG248 and HSG264.
• Excellent communication and report writing skills.
• Great attention to detail.
• Team player and able to take direction from experienced colleagues.
• Good IT skills and proficiency with common software.
• Flexible approach to working hours.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (paid for by the company).

Responsibilities

• Assisting experienced surveyors with Management, Refurbishment and Demolition Asbestos Surveys in accordance with HSG264.
• Supporting asbestos reinspection surveys and audits.
• Learning asbestos air monitoring, four-stage clearance and analytical procedures in accordance with HSG248.
• Shadowing supervision of licensed asbestos removal projects.
• Assisting with the production of accurate survey reports and technical documentation.
• Developing your technical knowledge to provide professional advice and consultancy to clients over time.
• Maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and professionalism.
• Representing Bradley Environmental Consultants to the highest standard on client sites.
