Job summary

Pacifica in Norwich is hiring a Trainee White Goods Engineer – Field Based. You will undergo full City & Guilds Assured training at our training centre and be paired with a mentor to become a qualified appliance repair engineer.

No prior white goods repair experience is required; however, hands-on mechanical or electrical skills and tool use are helpful. The role includes home visits to diagnose and repair appliances, with on-the-job learning and structured training.

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical or electrical experience
• Comfortable using hand tools
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication with customers
• Full UK manual driving licence (no more than 6 penalty points)

Responsibilities

• Learning to repair and maintain household appliances including washing machines, tumble dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, and electric cookers
• Visiting customers' homes to diagnose issues and carry out repairs safely and efficiently
• Building on your mechanical/electrical experience to troubleshoot and solve problems on-site
• Recording and managing job details using our in-house engineer software
• Following guidance from your mentor while building your skills and confidence
• Providing excellent customer service, explaining repairs clearly and professionally
