Job summary

Pacifica is recruiting a Trainee Domestic Appliance Field Service Engineer to join our field-based team in Wakefield. You'll receive full City & Guilds Assured training at our training centre in the North East of England and pair with a dedicated mentor to become a fully qualified White Goods Engineer.

No experience in white goods repair is required, but hands-on mechanical or electrical experience helps. The role includes visiting customers, diagnosing faults, and carrying out repairs with the

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical or electrical experience and ability to use hand tools.
• Full UK manual driving licence (no more than 6 penalty points).
• Willingness to learn through structured training.

Responsibilities

• Learning to repair and maintain household appliances including washing machines, tumble dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, and electric cookers
• Visiting customers' homes to diagnose issues and carry out repairs safely and efficiently
• Building on your mechanical/electrical experience to troubleshoot and solve problems on-site
• Recording and managing job details using our in-house engineer software
• Following guidance from your mentor while building your skills and confidence
• Providing excellent customer service, explaining repairs clearly and professionally
• Continuously developing your technical skills through structured training and on-job experience
