Job summary

Pacifica is recruiting a Trainee Domestic Appliance Field Service Engineer to join our field team. The role offers full training at our North East training centre and a dedicated mentor to develop you into a qualified white goods engineer.

You will learn to diagnose and repair common home appliances on customer sites, supported by hands-on practice and a structured training program. A driver’s license is required and a company van is provided for service visits.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical or electrical experience with tools.
• Willingness to learn through structured training.
• Full UK manual driving licence (no more than 6 penalty points).

Responsibilities

• Learn to repair and maintain household appliances including washing machines, tumble dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, and electric cookers.
• Visit customers' homes to diagnose issues and carry out repairs safely and efficiently.
• Build on your mechanical/electrical experience to troubleshoot and solve problems on-site.
• Record and manage job details using our in-house engineer software.
• Follow guidance from your mentor while building your skills and confidence.
• Provide excellent customer service, explaining repairs clearly and professionally.
• Continuously develop your technical skills through structured training and on-the-job experience.
