Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Trainee Accounts Assistant for a well-known company in Penrith. This role offers full training and a clear progression path with various career advancement opportunities. Qualifications

  • Desirable 12 months previous admin or finance experience.
  • Good knowledge and proficiency in numeracy and IT.

Responsibilities

  • Processing supplier invoices.
  • Matching to Purchase Orders/Goods Received Notes.
  • Supplier ledger maintenance & reconciliations.
  • Handling supplier queries.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Supporting with audits and general finance admin.

A great opportunity for someone starting out in finance. A newly created role, we’re recruiting a Trainee Accounts Assistant for a well known company located in Penrith, offering full training and a clear route to progress within the accounts function.

Role Overview
  • Processing supplier invoices
  • Matching to Purchase Orders/Goods Received Notes
  • Supplier ledger maintenance & reconciliations
  • Handling supplier queries
  • Maintaining accurate financial records
  • Supporting with audits and general finance admin
What We're Looking For
  • Good numeracy and accuracy

Progression
  • Trainee Accounts Assistant → Accounts Assistant → Assistant Accountant → Management Accountant/Financial Accountant
Salary & Benefits
  • Salary £23,500 - £25,000 starting salary (reviewed annually / in line with progression)
