Faith Recruitment in Aldershot is seeking a motivated Trainee 1st Line Support Engineer to join our growing IT team. Based in Aldershot, you will provide first-line support to customers by phone, email and remote tools, handling password resets, login issues and application errors.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have a relevant IT qualification (CompTIA A+/Network+, BTEC Level 3 IT or equivalent).
• Full training and development will be provided.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line support to customers via phone, email, and remote support tools.
• Assist users with basic IT issues such as password resets, login problems, and application errors.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and elevate more complex cases to senior engineers when required.
• Support customers with remote access and connectivity issues.
• Accurately log support tickets and maintain customer records within the helpdesk system.
• Assist with the installation and configuration of new hardware and software.
• Attend customer sites alongside senior engineers to support system implementations and installations.
• Learn and develop knowledge of networks, operating systems, and business applications.
• Provide general administrative support to the IT team when required.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee 1st Line Support Engineer to join a friendly and growing IT team based in Aldershot.

This role is ideal for someone who has recently completed a CompTIA qualification, BTEC Level 3 in IT, or equivalent IT course and is looking to start their career within IT Support. Full training and ongoing development will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• CompTIA A+, Network+, BTEC Level 3 IT, T Level Digital, or equivalent A level qualification.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
