Job summary

Morson Group is seeking a qualified maintenance engineer to support railway depots in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on fault finding, diagnostics and repair of electronic and electrical train systems, with extensive knowledge of multi‑phase power and control systems.

You will perform safety‑driven maintenance, coordinate with depot teams, and contribute to the validation of test procedures and documentation for reliability improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical fault finding on trains or similar equipment.
• Knowledge of 3-phase, single-phase and DC power systems.
• Experience with test and commissioning procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Undertake exam-based maintenance and planned/unplanned tasks.
• Provide diagnostic and repair support for electronics and electrical systems.
• Carry out fault finding and investigate intermittent faults on vehicles in depot or service.
• Perform testing and re-commissioning activities on trains according to procedures.
• Assist with data downloads, fault reporting and documentation updates.
