Job summary

CAF Rail UK is seeking a technically skilled engineer to diagnose faults on an extensive train fleet, performing corrective actions in a depot to ensure reliable passenger services. You will interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and use diagnostic software and test equipment to support maintenance.

Applicants should have an NVQ Level 3 in electrical/mechanical engineering (or equivalent) and at least 3 years post-apprenticeship experience, with a valid driver's license and

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in electrical/mechanical engineering (or equivalent) required.
• 3 years post-apprenticeship experience preferred.
• Strong fault-finding and root-cause analysis across multiple systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform root-cause analysis on an advanced train fleet.
• Carry out corrective actions and repairs in a depot to ensure service availability.
• Interpret electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics; use diagnostic tools.
