Job summary

Alstom Transport Services UK Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform exam-based maintenance, fault finding and rectification on the new Class 730 fleet to ensure on-time delivery and improved reliability.

You will diagnose and repair electrical, electronic and power systems, support depot teams, and carry out testing and commissioning under pre-written procedures. The role offers permanent terms with a salary around £55,000 and benefits.

Qualifications

• Electrical NVQ3 or equivalent is required.
• Solid mechanical, electrical and electronic knowledge of modern EMUs.
• Proficient IT skills (office suite, email, intranet).
• Flexible and adaptable to varying work practices.

Responsibilities

• Undertake exam-based maintenance and fault repairs.
• Diagnose and rectify faults on Class 730 trains.
• Provide technical support to depot teams for fault finding.
• Carry out testing and commissioning per procedures.
• Record faults and data accurately.
• Assist with skills development within depots.
• Travel to other 730 WMT Project Depots as needed.
