Job summary

CrossCountry is hiring Train Managers for Birmingham New Street. You will be responsible for checking and selling tickets on board, advising passengers about journeys, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment.

Training lasts 10 weeks in Derby before taking lead on duties, with average 35 hours per week and shifts including weekends. Applicants must be able to travel within 1 hour of Birmingham New Street, pass a safety-critical medical and DBS check, and apply with a CV and covering letter

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work shifts and weekends.
• Ability to work safely in a rail environment.

Responsibilities

• Check and sell tickets on board CrossCountry services.
• Advise customers about journeys and provide assistance.
• Report defective equipment and manage luggage issues.
• Work with On-Board colleagues to deliver a safe, enjoyable journey.
