Job summary

CrossCountry in Birmingham is recruiting Train Managers to join our Voyager services, delivering safe, service-focused journeys across the UK. You will check and sell tickets on board, advise passengers and respond calmly to the unexpected.

Initial 10-week training in Derby; 1 hour commute of Birmingham. Not a 9-to-5 role; shifts incl weekends; living within 1 hour of Birmingham New Street. Benefits include free unlimited travel, pension, uniform, generous holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• Customer service excellence on passenger journeys.
• Ability to communicate clearly with individuals and groups.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Check and sell tickets on board CrossCountry services.
• Advise customers about their journey and options.
• Respond calmly to unexpected situations and provide solutions.
• Ensure passenger comfort by reporting defective equipment and managing luggage.
• Collaborate with On-Board colleagues to deliver a memorable journey.
