Job summary

Multimodal Solutions is seeking a Load Safety Inspector at our Shotton, Flintshire site in Wales. This full-time role focuses on monitoring load safety and load restraint standards, conducting trailer safety inspections, and assisting LGV drivers on site.

Working hours are 40 per week, Monday to Friday, 9:30am–6:30pm. The successful candidate will have CCNSG Safety Passport, knowledge of LGV procedures and safety legislation, and a full clean driving licence. Site-based, outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

Experience in road haulage safety and load restraint practices.
Confident communication with LGV/HGV drivers and on-site colleagues.
CCNSG Safety Passport and knowledge of HSE legislation essential.
Full, clean driving licence required.

Responsibilities

Meet and greet incoming LGV drivers, conduct site inductions and safety briefings
Monitor and enforce load safety and load restraint standards on site
Carry out trailer safety inspections prior to loading and unloading
Assist drivers in preparing trailers and ensuring loads are secured before departure
Supervise haulier drivers on site and enforce safety procedures
Complete non-conformances and safety reports and escalate concerns
