Load Safety Inspector – Spider is advertising on behalf of aleading provider of integrated logistics and freight solutions across Europe in their search for a Load Safety Inspector to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis at their customer site in Shotton, Flintshire, Wales.
As a Load Safety Inspector, you will play an important role in maintaining the safe and compliant movement of goods by monitoring and enforcing load safety and load restraint standards for visiting LGV road hauliers. Working as part of a dedicated customer service and operations team, you will carry out trailer safety inspections, support drivers while on site, and help ensure consistently high standards of health and safety compliance. Working hours for this role will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:30am-6:30pm. The role is site-based and requires working outdoors in all weather conditions.
As a Load Safety Inspector, you will have a strong understanding of health and safety requirements within the road haulage, transport, logistics or distribution sector. You will be confident communicating with LGV/HGV drivers and colleagues, able to work independently, and committed to maintaining safe working practices and high compliance standards.
You will ideally hold a CCNSG Safety Passport and have knowledge of LGV driver procedures, different trailer types, and relevant HSE legislation. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and basic IT proficiency are essential. A flexible, proactive and responsible approach is important, together with the ability to work outdoors and manage your workload with minimal supervision. A full, clean driving licence is required.
