Job summary

Multimodal Solutions (part of DP World) seeks a Load Safety Inspector for a full-time, site-based role at our customer site in Shotton, Flintshire, Wales. The role centers on monitoring load safety, conducting trailer inspections, and guiding drivers to sustain high health and safety compliance.

Working hours are 40 per week, Monday to Friday, 9:30am - 6:30pm, outdoors in all weather. A CCNSG Safety Passport and driving licence are desirable; proactive, flexible individuals are encouraged to

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of health and safety in road haulage, transport, logistics or distribution.
• Confident communication with LGV/HGV drivers and colleagues.
• Willingness to work outdoors, on-site inspections, and monitor safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet incoming LGV drivers and conduct site inductions and safety briefings.
• Monitor and enforce load safety and load restraint standards throughout site operations.
• Carry out trailer safety inspections prior to loading/unloading.
• Assist drivers in preparing trailers for loading and ensure loads are correctly configured and secured before departure.
• Supervise drivers on site to ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Complete reports on non-conformances and safety issues, escalating as needed.
