Driver Hire Ipswich is seeking a Traffic Operative to join a busy, dynamic transport office in Bury St Edmunds. You will brief drivers, assist with route and load planning, monitor live movements, and ensure safety and compliance while delivering clear messages to customers.

Starting ASAP, the role is temporary to permanent with £15.38 per hour and a view to £34,000 salary after transfer. Benefits include a staff pension, 26 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, training and development,

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the UK road network.
• Experience in a fast-paced transport office.
• Excellent communication with drivers and customers.
• Proficiency with TMS and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Brief and debrief drivers.
• Support route and load planning.
• Monitor live transport operations.
• Perform compliance and safety checks.
• Maintain customer communications.
• Prepare administration and reporting.
