Job summary

ACS Performance is seeking an experienced Traffic Planner in Felixstowe to coordinate daily container transport operations. You will schedule vehicles, allocate drivers, and optimise routes to maximise fleet efficiency while ensuring deliveries are on time and safe.

The role requires working on-site and close collaboration with drivers, customers, and internal teams. The successful candidate will have transport/logistics experience, strong organisational skills, and the ability to adapt to

• Experience in transport planning, logistics or container haulage.
• Knowledge of transport planning and traffic management.
• Experience using transport management systems (Truckcom is a plus).
• Excellent organisation and communication skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Felixstowe.

About the Role

We are looking for an organised and proactive Traffic Planner to join a busy transport operation based in Felixstowe. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced transport professional to play a key role in planning and coordinating daily container transport operations.

Working in a fast‑paced logistics environment, you will be responsible for scheduling vehicles, allocating drivers, and ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time. You’ll work closely with drivers, customers, and internal teams to maintain high service levels while maximising fleet utilisation.

• Plan and coordinate daily transport operations.

About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience in transport planning, logistics, or container haulage.
• Good knowledge of transport planning and traffic management.
• Experience using transport management systems (experience with Truckcom would be an advantage).
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• The ability to remain calm and make effective decisions under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
• The ability to work on‑site in Felixstowe.
