Job summary

Randstad CPE is recruiting for a Traffic Marshall / General Labourer in Reigate to oversee safe vehicle access and traffic flow on a major construction project. The role combines traffic Marshalling with basic labouring tasks on quieter periods.

Starting on 25th/26th October 2027, it is a long-term position with hours Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Competitive pay and weekly pay options are offered, with CIS/Umbrella/PAYE handling.

Qualifications

• Valid Traffic Marshall / Vehicle Banker Ticket (CPCS/NPORS or equivalent).
• Valid CSCS Card (Green Labourer card or above).
• Full PPE (hi-vis, steel toe boots, hard hat, gloves).
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Safely guiding construction traffic and plant vehicles in and out of site gates.
• Control pedestrian access near entry points and keep highways clear.
• Log incoming deliveries and liaise with Site Manager and gate security.
• Assist with general site labouring duties, material movement, and site tidying.
• Enforce site traffic management plans and health & safety protocols.

Pay Rate: £15.00 - £17.00 per hour (dependent on pay type)

About the Role

We are recruiting an experienced Traffic Marshall / Labourer for a major construction project starting on Tuesday, 26th October 2027.

This is a combined role where you will oversee safe vehicle access and traffic flow into site gates while assisting with general site labouring duties during quieter periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely guiding construction traffic, delivery lorries, and plant vehicles in and out of site gates.
• Controlling pedestrian access near site entry points and keeping public highways clear.
• Logging incoming site deliveries and liaising with the Site Manager and gate security.
• Assisting with general site labouring duties, material movement, and site tidying during downtime.
• Strictly enforcing site traffic management plans and health & safety protocols.

Requirements

• Valid Traffic Marshall / Vehicle Banker Ticket (CPCS, NPORS, or recognized equivalent).
• Valid CSCS Card (Green Labourer card or above).
• Full PPE (High-vis jacket & trousers, steel toe boots, hard hat, and gloves).
• Previous experience managing busy site entrances and construction traffic.
• Punctual, reliable, and strong communication skills.
• Right to work in the UK.

Working Hours & Benefits

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (40-45 hours per week).
