Job summary

Keltic Traffic Management Ltd – part of BUKO Traffic & Safety is seeking an experienced Traffic Management Scheduler to join the Operations team in West Drayton. You will coordinate operatives, vehicles and resources for London-wide traffic management works and work closely with Project Managers to keep operations efficient.

The role requires strong organisational skills, multitasking ability and proactive problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Traffic Management, scheduling, resource planning or operational coordination.
• Strong organisational and forward planning skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Good knowledge of London road network would be beneficial.
• Strong communication skills with operatives, supervisors and managers.
• Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Proactive problem solving approach.
• Ability to stay calm and organised under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Plan and allocate daily and future works to Traffic Management Operatives.
• Ensure operatives are allocated efficiently based on qualifications, location, availability and working hours.
• Maintain and update the operational schedule as jobs change.
• Plan ahead to identify resource shortages or clashes.
• Coordinate operative availability, leave, sickness and overtime.
• Work with Project Managers to understand workload and client requirements.
• Coordinate agency labour when additional resources are needed.
• Record accurate operative and agency information against each job.
• Communicate schedule changes clearly and promptly to all affected.
• Support allocation of vehicles and other resources as required.
• Keep scheduling information up to date and complete.
• Resolve last-minute operational issues and adapt plans as needed.
• Support wider Operations team to ensure jobs are resourced and delivered.
