The purpose of the role is to support the safe and efficient movement of vehicles, pedestrians and site personnel by planning and installing, maintaining and removing traffic management measures in accordance with approved plans, risk assessments, legislation and company procedures. The role aims to protect road users and colleagues, minimise disruption and ensure traffic management works are completed safely, accurately and efficiently.,
- Efficient and timely installation and de-installation of traffic management in line with agreed permit conditions and NRSWA regulations.
- Production of CAD drawings in line with NRSWA regulations for submission and approval via local permit regulations.
- NRSWA & Highway authority compliance - Ensure traffic management activities comply with NRSWA regulations and maintain excellent/internal and external stakeholder engagement.
- Compile, prepare and present relevant traffic management plans/drawings in order for submission to the relevant highways authority in line with permit regulations.
- Planning and Co-Ordination of permit applications & process for agreed workstreams.
- Site inspections and auditing of traffic management in accordance with regulations throughout the life cycle of live operational schemes
- Provision of reactive and emergency traffic management - in agreement with SLA and requirements of clients.
- Performance and continuous improvement - Identify innovation, performance improvements, maintain accurate records
Essentials Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- NRSWA Streetworks Qualification
- Relevant Traffic Management qualifications (Lantra etc)
- Clean valid UK driving license Essential
- Appropriate site safety qualification (CSCS or equivalent)
- Experience working within traffic management highways, civil engineering or utilities.
- Planning and or implementing traffic management within highways environment
- Sound working knowledge of permit regulations, permit submission process
- Experience working alongside construction and site management teams.
- Experience of working in an emergency and or out of hours requirements
- Good Organisational and planning skills
- Ability to interpret and work from drawings and plans
- Willingness to work flexibly to support operational requirements
- Professional approach when dealing with clients, stakeholders and the public
- Excellent commitment to health and safety culture, First Aid Qualification
- SMSTS, SSSTS or equivalent site management qualification
- Temporary works awareness
- IOSH managing safely or equivalent
- Understanding of risk assessment and method statements process.
- Experience using traffic management design software package, Candidates with the relevant experience or job titles of; Traffic Management, Traffic Operative, Traffic Analyst, Routing Analyst, Highways Operative, Traffic Manager, Highways Planner, Highways Engineer, Traffic Management Planner, Civil Engineering Planner may also be considered for this role.
