Job summary

Chevron TM, part of Ramudden Global UK, is seeking Traffic Management Operatives (Qualified and Trainee) for ringwood depot with travel to nearby areas. Role involves operating near moving traffic, strict safety procedures, and a career path with paid qualifications.

Qualified operatives receive a £500 welcome bonus, opportunities for paid qualifications, company van, and a comprehensive benefits package. Trainee positions are also available to develop in a safety‑critical role.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence required with no more than 6 points.
• Must pass a drug and alcohol test (contingent on results).
• Positive, can-do attitude and safety-first mindset.
• Able to be flexible for weekends, nights and travel as needed.
• M1/M2/Lantra or higher qualifications desirable; trainee pathways available.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and remove temporary traffic management.
• Set up cones, signs, barriers and safety equipment.
• Keep roadworkers and the public safe at all times.
• Communicate with colleagues, clients and control teams.
• Mentor new trainees and help others learn the ropes.

Job title - Traffic Management Operative (Qualified and Trainee)

Location: Ringwood depot - Within travelling distance from Bournemouth, Salisbury, Weymouth, Dorchester, Southampton, Shaftesbury

Hours: Guaranteed 48 HPW plus OT opportunities; must be flexible to work weekends!

Day shifts are typical, but flexibility is key — you’ll need to be open to evenings, nights, weekends, working away during peak periods, and joining the on‑call rota, especially if you have access to a company van

What You’ll Be Doing

• Install, maintain and remove temporary traffic management
• Set up cones, signs, barriers and safety equipment
• Keep roadworkers and the public safe at all times
• Communicate with colleagues, clients and control teams
• Mentor New Trainees: Share your knowledge and guide new team members as they learn the ropes.

Trainee

• Work towards your fully funded 12D qualifications*
• Gain hands-on experience by teaming with our Qualified Operatives.

What We Are Looking For

• Driving Licence: Full licence with no more than 6 points. Any driving bans must have expired at least 5 years ago.
• Testing: Must pass a drug and alcohol test (offer contingent on results).
• Attitude: Positive, "can-do" mindset.
• Skills: Adaptability, flexibility, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Flexibility: Able to work weekends, nights and work away, if and when required.

Desirable

• Qualifications: M1 M2, M3 M4 M5 M6 (SLG Unit 2 will be considered)
• Knowledge: Familiarity with Chapter 8 regulations.
• Traffic Management Training is subject to signing a training agreement.
