Chelson? Chevron, part of Ramudden Global UK, is hiring a Traffic Management Operative to deliver safe traffic management on road networks and construction projects in the Southwest Stanton Harcourt area.

You will install and maintain temporary systems, set up closures and signage, and ensure compliance with Chapter 8 and safety laws. The role demands flexibility, including nights and weekends, and a full UK driving licence with up to 6 points.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and away when required.
• Pass pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test.
• Knowledge of Chapter 8 regulations.
• Safety-focused and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and remove temporary traffic management systems.
• Set up road closures, diversions, pedestrian walkways, signage, barriers, and lights.
• Ensure works comply with Chapter 8 regulations.
• Carry out site checks and uphold high safety standards.
• Support and mentor new trainees.
• Deliver projects safely and efficiently.
• Contribute to keeping road users and workers safe.

About The Role

As a Traffic Management Operative, you’ll be responsible for delivering safe and efficient traffic management solutions on road networks and construction projects across the region.

Your Duties Will Include

• Installing, maintaining, and removing temporary traffic management systems
• Setting up road closures, diversions, pedestrian walkways, signage, barriers, and traffic lights
• Ensuring all works comply with Chapter 8 and safety legislation
• Carrying out site checks and maintaining high safety standards
• Supporting and mentoring new trainees within the team
• Working collaboratively to deliver projects safely and efficiently
• Every day is different, and your work will directly contribute to keeping people safe on our roads.
• What We’re Looking For

Essential Requirements

• SLG Unit 2
• M1/M2
• M3/M4
• M5 /M6
• Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 penalty points
• Positive, proactive, and safety-focused attitude
• Ability to work flexibly, including nights, weekends, and working away when required
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
• Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test and any required medical assessments

Salary and Hours

Salary: Competetive

Hours: Guaranteed 48 hours per week plus overtime opportunities. Day shifts are most common; however, flexibility is essential. Successful candidates must be available to work evenings, nights, weekends, work away during peak periods, and participate in an on‑call rota where required.
