This is a great opportunity for someone with previous underwriting experience in Property and Liability. As a Trading Underwriter, you will strive to provide excellent customer service at every opportunity. You will understand what matters to the customer/broker and how that fits with Aviva’s plans and strategies.

A bit about the job:

You will be responsible for underwriting existing profitable business within agreed guidelines and authority levels. You will develop, build, and strengthen relationships with customers and brokers, providing technical support and handling queries. You will use relevant stakeholder networks to offer the broadest appropriate propositions to customers and work independently within your underwriting authority, consulting on more technical and complex risks where necessary.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Knowledge of insurance product features and processes
• Knowledge of underwriting – Property & Liability
• Good planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills
• Excellent communication, listening, time management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate within a large organisation
• Good understanding of FCA regulations and relevant legislation
