Trading Underwriter - Property & Liability

Are you someone who is passionate about partnering with brokers and customers to truly understand their wants and needs?

Aviva is looking for Underwriters to join our teams to be aligned with a portfolio of brokers/customers to proactively develop and grow their commercial book of business profitably!

This role requires you to go out on broker visits across the North West broker market, so flexibility with travel is necessary.

A bit about the job:

• Operate within agreed guidelines and authority levels to grow the book of business profitably.
• Build confidence with brokers and/or customers through face-to-face meetings, making us their insurer of choice.
• Deal end-to-end with brokers'/customers' books of business.
• Embrace and understand our SME strategy.
• Grow understanding of the commercial business through curiosity.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Previous property & liability underwriting experience is essential.
• Ability to analyse risks and communicate effectively with brokers and/or customers.
• Collaborative work style within a large, complex organisation.
• Good knowledge of FCA regulations and legislation.
• Strong commercial business acumen to create and deliver business cases.
