Job summary

Intact Insurance is the new name for RSA in the UK, Ireland, and across Europe. This role sits in Traded SME within Regions and supports high‑quality underwriting outcomes, ensuring good service and building underwriting capability.

The successful candidate will assist with case preparation, data gathering and case management to enable efficient trading outcomes, while maintaining accuracy and meeting defined authority and referral guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in insurance is beneficial but not essential.
• Strong customer service and broker/client facing skills.
• Ability to multi-task and solve problems.
• High accuracy and keen eye for detail.
• Organisational skills and ability to work in a team.

Win as a Team

This role is within Traded SME in Regions and reports to an Underwriting Team Leader. This role is responsible for supporting delivery of high‑quality underwriting outcomes within Traded SME, ensuring good service and building core underwriting capability.

You’ll make an impact by:

• Accountable for supporting delivery of high‑quality underwriting decisions, completing lower complexity tasks and processing risks within defined authority, guidelines and referral frameworks.
• Responsible for achieving service levels, including responsiveness and accuracy, maintaining data quality and supporting overall team performance and profitable growth.
• Supports the underwriting activity of the team, including preparation of cases, data gathering and case management to enable efficient and effective trading outcomes.

Your skills and experience:

• Previous experience in insurance is beneficial but not essential.
• Good customer service skills with a passion for delivering high-quality service to brokers and clients.
• Ability to multi-task and solve a variety of problems.
• A high degree of accuracy with a keen eye for detail.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to work in a structured, team-based environment.
• Demonstrates a willingness to learn and build capability, progressing towards independent underwriting responsibility.
