Jewson, a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is on the hunt for a Sales Supervisor to join the team in our Dumfries branch who's as passionate about great service as we are.

Hours: 7.30am–5pm Monday to Friday and every other Saturday morning 8-12

Location: Jewson, Kellwood Ave, Dumfries DG1 2JR

Key Responsibilities

1. Drive sales within the branch and be a key point of contact for our customers.
2. Manage customers at the trade counter and in our Decorating Centre showroom, processing sales orders and answering customer queries in branch and over the phone.
3. Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects.
4. Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions in line with our Jewson values.
5. Develop great relationships with new and existing customers, both face to face and over the phone.
6. Understand customer needs and provide proactive advice and solutions to deliver the best experience possible.
7. Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise delivery times, and keep customers updated throughout their journey.
8. Deal with lapsed accounts while also generating sales with new and existing customers.
9. Keep the branch looking clean and tidy, maintain stock levels and merchandising of stock to make a great first impression on our customers.
10. Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement.
11. Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work.

Required Skills and Experience

1. Previous industry experience would be beneficial for this role - builders merchant or similar.
2. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work accordingly.
3. Experience in a busy customer facing role with strong communication skills.
4. IT literate.
5. A positive and flexible attitude.
