Job summary

TGR Haas F1 Team in Banbury, UK, seeks a skilled mechanical technician to support the assembly, servicing and repair of composite components for Haas F1 race cars. Qualifications

• Experience in a similar mechanical role within motorsport preferred.
• Basic fabrication and machining skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and information pertaining to assembly, periodic updates and modifications.
• Comprehensive understanding of composite repair methods including bond preparation, resin selection and laminating techniques gained in a trackside environment you should be able to apply these skills often in a limited time frame and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Follow Haas F1 engineering procedures for assembly, operation, and safety.
• Collaborate with Composite team on workloads, fault reporting and diagnoses.
• Undertake trimming and bonding of composite assemblies.
• Maintain condition and maintenance of Bodywork, Floors and Brake ducts trackside and in the factory.
• Work on the Car under the lead of the Number 1 Mechanic and Chief Mechanic.
• Manage minimum stock levels of components, spares, and consumables.
• Assist and work with Parts Coordinators managing the Turnaround and flow of composite components between track, factory and suppliers.
• Assist and support chosen departments to facilitate Turnarounds, Engineering Projects, Car Builds and Event Support.
• Report reliability issues as they occur and seek advice before undertaking any out of the ordinary tasks.
• Follow Lifing and UIIL requirements to ensure full compliance is met in line with the regulations.
