Matchtech is seeking a skilled Composite Assembly / Trim Technician to join a leading Formula 1 team in Oxfordshire on a contract basis. The role involves precision trimming, assembly of carbon panels, and requires experience in F1 or aerospace.

Qualifications

• Experience in trimming and assembly of pre‑preg carbon in F1, F2, WEC or aerospace.
• Comfortable in full PPE including airline respirators and nitrile gloves for 8‑hour shifts.
• Immediate availability and clean UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Precision-trim cured carbon panels to ±0.1 mm tolerances.
• Bond assemblies with structural adhesives like Hysol 9394.
• Complete SAP bookings and QA sign‑off for every part.

Skills

Trimming and assembly of pre‑preg carbon

Proficient in PlyCut

Proficient in Catia V5 CPD

Familiar with Loctite/Huntsman adhesive systems
