Job summary

Thorlabs is seeking a facilities engineer to implement and support TPM strategy across our Ely site, helping to reduce downtime and drive operational performance. You will work with maintenance, production and external contractors, schedule work orders in our CMMS, manage service contracts and lead TPM projects, with some hands-on support during downtime.

Applicants should have a Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing engineering qualification and at least two years in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• Site-wide TPM implementation experience required.
• Ability to read supplier technical material to set TPM strategy.
• Hands-on maintenance capability to support downtime periods.
• Strong project management and prioritisation skills.
• Clear communication with production, maintenance and external contractors.

Responsibilities

• Implement a site wide TPM system.
• Schedule work orders for the maintenance team in the CMMS.
• Manage service contracts.
• Host external service engineers and contractors.
• Plan routine preventive maintenance works.
• Lead facilities and maintenance projects.
• Provide hands-on support during downtime.
