Job summary

Polytec Personnel Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator for a client in Ely. You will join the Facilities and Maintenance team, driving a TPM program across the site to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.

You will work closely with production, maintenance and external contractors to plan, schedule and coordinate preventive maintenance activities, read technical information from suppliers and maintain CMMS data to support overall site efficiency.

Qualifications

• Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering qualification.
• 2+ years in a manufacturing environment or transferable experience.
• Experience implementing or managing a TPM strategy.
• Ability to interpret technical information from machinery suppliers.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Experience working with production, maintenance and external contractors.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain a site-wide Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) system.
• Schedule maintenance work orders using the site's CMMS.
• Plan and coordinate routine preventative maintenance activities.
• Manage service contracts and coordinate external contractors and service engineers.
• Support facilities and maintenance projects.
• Read and interpret technical information from machinery suppliers to develop TPM strategies.
• Maintain accurate maintenance data and records within the CMMS.
• Provide practical maintenance support to the wider maintenance team when required.
• Support the Facilities and Maintenance team with additional administrative tasks as required.

This is an important role within the Facilities and Maintenance team, responsible for implementing and supporting a site-wide Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) strategy. You'll work closely with production, maintenance and external contractors to help reduce downtime, improve equipment reliability and support the overall efficiency of the manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering qualification
• At least 2 years' experience within a manufacturing environment, or demonstrable transferable experience
• Previous experience implementing or managing a TPM strategy
• Ability to understand and interpret technical information from machinery suppliers
• Good project management and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively plan workload
• Strong communication and influencing skills
• Experience working with production, maintenance and external contractors
• Practical maintenance skills would be advantageous
• Experience using a CMMS or similar maintenance management system would be beneficial
