Job summary

THX Ltd is seeking a Customer Delivery Operative to deliver goods to customers and provide an outstanding service experience. You will handle heavy items with care and ensure on-time deliveries using THX’s delivery IT system.

Applicants should have customer-facing experience, a valid UK driving license, and comfort driving in congested areas including London. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and proactive communication with colleagues and customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role with excellent service.
• Valid UK manual driving license is preferred.
• Manual handling and the ability to maneuver heavy equipment.
• Computer literate with familiarity of IT and navigation systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods to customers in a timely, friendly manner.
• Ensure accurate hire equipment is delivered on time.
• Resolve customer issues promptly and communicate with colleagues as required.
• Follow safe driving and loading practices; use appropriate equipment.
• Update delivery IT system and capture equipment photos where required.
• Identify sales opportunities while on the road and relay to the sales team.

We are looking for a Customer Delivery Operative to deliver goods to customers, whilst also providing an excellent customer service experience.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Manual handling of heavy, bulky items in a safe and careful manner.
• Ensure customers receive the accurate hire equipment on time and in a positive & friendly manner in accordance with our delivery targets
• Resolve problems promptly, communicating with customers and colleagues as required.
• Follow safe working processes/practices while driving and loading/unloading, using appropriate machinery.
• Communicate with colleagues in other departments to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Operate THX’s delivery IT system, updating the system data and taking pictures of equipment.
• Raise issues and opportunities to improve the THX operations.
• Identify sales opportunities while travelling and report these back to the sales team.

Requirements

• Experience in a customer-facing role, providing excellent customer service.
• Previous experience of driving professionally & delivering goods is preferred, but not essential.
• Manual handling and the ability to maneuver heavy equipment.
• A valid, clean UK driving license for manual vehicles.
• Computer literate with a familiarity of IT and navigation systems.
• Reliable, flexible and a strong team-player.
• Comfortable driving in congested areas include London.
