Job summary

City Building (Glasgow) LLP is seeking a skilled Tile Fixer to join the Healthy Homes team. You will perform tiling tasks across social housing properties, including occupied and void rooms, ensuring high-quality workmanship and strong customer service.

Applicants should be fully qualified Tile Fixers with a customer-focused approach, capable of working independently or within a team, and holding a full UK driving licence. A competitive salary and benefits package are on offer.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out tiling works: prepare surfaces, measure and cut tiles, install materials to high standard.
  • Remove and replace grout/sealant in mould-affected areas and ensure proper repairs.
  • Prioritise damp/mould repairs in line with regulations and organisational procedures.
  • Maintain safe, tidy work sites and provide excellent customer service with minimal disruption.

About the Role

The Tile Fixer is a key member of the Operations Division, working within the Healthy Homes section to deliver high-quality services across the social housing sector in both occupied and void properties.

You will carry out a range of tiling works, including preparing surfaces, measuring and cutting tiles, and installing materials to a high standard. You will also remove and replace mould-affected, contaminated or defective grout and sealant, ensuring affected areas are properly treated and repaired. Repairs relating to damp and mould hazards must be prioritised and completed in line with Awaab's Law and organisational procedures. Any additional property condition concerns identified during works must be reported promptly. You will maintain a safe and tidy working environment, rectify defects as required, and provide excellent customer service while respected tenants' homes and minimising disruption.

What You Will Bring

The post holder will be an experienced, fully qualified Tile Fixer with a strong customer focused approach and the ability to deliver high quality work within agreed timescales.

You should have substantial experience working within a customer focused environment and demonstrate a flexible approach to ensure a consistently high standard of service is provided.

You will be able to work independently using your own initiative, while also contributing effectively as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality workmanship are essential. You will ensure all tasks are completed safely and in full compliance with building regulations and health and safety legislation.

A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
