Job summary

PiLON, part of the United Infrastructure Group, seeks skilled tradespeople for planned maintenance in social housing across the UK. You will isolate power, lock circuits, remove and replace sockets, and manage tile work around baths with attention to safety and resident communication.

Candidates should have asbestos awareness, CSCS, and a valid UK driving licence with own tools. Excellent English and reliability are essential for deadlines and quality work.

Qualifications

• Asbestos awareness training (can be provided in-house by Pilon)
• CSCS Card
• Right to work in the UK
• Own tools (110v or battery-operated)
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (van preferred)
• Good conversational English

Responsibilities

• Isolate kitchen power (switch off consumer unit)
• Lock off kitchen circuit with padlock while working
• Remove sockets, then reinstall after work is complete
• Inform resident that kitchen sockets cannot be used for approx. 2 hours (risk of short circuit)
• Install tiles around the bath only
• If bath is between 3 walls: tile all 3 walls along full bath length
• If bath is in an L‑shape (2 walls): tile only along the bath length
• No full tiling at WC area
• Tile behind sink only, up to 3 rows high
