Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited seeks a tiling technician for a 3 months contract with a Local Authority. Location at Birchmere Business Centre, Thamesmead, with 37 hours weekly and a full UK driving licence required. You will carry out tiling, plastering and maintenance across housing assets, ensuring safety, quality and compliance.

Bi-weekly payroll applies. Applicants should have City & Guilds or NVQ in Plastering & Tiling, strong health & safety knowledge, and experience using handheld tech for

Qualifications

• Professional tiling experience in repairs or construction.
• Knowledge of building maintenance and property repairs.
• Ability to safely use power and hand tools and access equipment.
• Experience using works orders and maintaining records.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Understanding of Health & Safety in construction and housing maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Competence with handheld technology for job management.

Responsibilities

• Undertake tiling repairs, maintenance and installations across housing assets.
• Deliver high-quality workmanship in line with standards and specifications.
• Operate vehicles, tools, plant and equipment safely.
• Maintain licences, qualifications and accreditations.
• Liaise with managers, residents and clients regarding works orders.
• Record completed work, materials used and outcomes using handheld devices.
• Monitor stock levels of materials and equipment.
• Conduct routine checks & maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Ensure security of vehicles, tools and materials.
• Support colleagues to complete repairs within timescales.
