Job summary

The Best Connection Group Limited is seeking an experienced TIG Welder/Fabricator for a part-time position in a supportive workshop setting. You will weld and fabricate steel stillages and related components, reading drawings and using various tools to meet quality standards.

Flexibility is offered with 20–25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. This role requires attention to detail, safe tool use, and teamwork to hit production targets while maintaining a clean and safe workspace.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in TIG welding and metal fabrication.
• Ability to work with steel products and fabricated components.
• Competent in the safe use of hand and power tools.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience welding and fabricating steel stillages.
• MIG welding experience.
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings.
• Forklift experience (advantageous but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Carry out TIG welding and fabrication work to a high standard.
• Fabricate, assemble and repair steel stillages and associated products.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings where required.
• Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
• Move and handle fabricated steel stillages and materials around the workshop.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure finished products meet specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Work closely with colleagues to meet production targets and customer deadlines.

The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and reliable

TIG Welder/Fabricator to join our team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled welder who takes pride in producing high-quality fabrication work and enjoys working within a friendly, supportive workshop environment.

The successful candidate will be involved in the fabrication and welding of steel stillages and other metal products, ensuring all work meets company quality standards. Flexible working hours are available Monday to Friday, with approximately 25 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out TIG welding and fabrication work to a high standard.
